Osamu Yano Bmus(TCM) – Guitarist

Biography:

Osamu is one of the versatile guitarists of his generation. He has performed in the USA, South America, Japan and throughout Europe & UK as a recitalist and session guitarist. His highly acclaimed performances are always noted for their sensitive musicality, diversity in musical styles, versatile technique and stylish arrangement and improvisation.

At the tender age of six Osamu began to learn the piano before going on to study the guitar. He then carried on his music degree at the Trinity College of Music studying with Gary Ryan, Gilbert Biberian, Colin Downes and Adrian Harrison. Whilst at the college Osamu also studied Jazz guitar with UK’s leading Jazz guitarist Dave Cliff and pianist Michael Garrick. Since graduating the college he has spent his time performing, teaching and collaborating with other musicians.

Osamu has performed on Radio and Television including broadcasting in America and the UK. He has also been interviewed and has played live on BBC London Radio, BBC6 Music, BBC world Radio, Xfm, BBC One TV, Japan Fuji TV and NHK.

Client/Venue/Residency – BBC TV/Radios, Xfm Radio, E4Music, The Savoy Hotel, The Hilton Hotels, The Dorset Square Hotel, The Millennium Hotel, The Guoman Tower Hotel, The Holland America Cruise Ship Line, The Dysart Petersham(Richmond UK) etc.

Solo Repertoires: 

Solo repertoire includes Classical, Spanish, Latin America, Special wedding repertoire, Jazz standards and tasteful arrangement of Pop songs.

CLASSICAL/SPANISH/LATIN : John Dowland, J.S Bach, D.Scarlatti, Agustin Barrios Mangore, Antonio Lauro, Francisco Tarrega, Issac Albeniz, Heitor Villa-Lobos, Enrique Granados, F-Sor, Astor Piazzolla etc.
